Strategic Direction & Design Intent
A culturally responsive therapy website for women living between worlds
The practice's clients are often the dependable daughter, the reliable partner and the high achiever who never lets anything slip. The site needed to speak to that experience directly, in a voice and look that feels warm and familiar instead of clinical.
The Audience
Immigrant and bicultural women, many of them first-generation therapy seekers, working through trauma, relationships, identity and family expectations. For a lot of them, reaching out to a therapist at all is a big step.
Project Goals
Launch the practice with a brand that reflects where her clients come from, explain each specialty clearly and make it easy to book a free consultation, in person in Chandler or online across Arizona and Hawai'i.
The Challenge
Speaking to a specific cultural experience without falling back on stereotypes. The imagery, colors and language had to feel familiar to South Asian and other BIPOC women while welcoming anyone who grew up between two cultures.
The Approach
The branding suite came first, then a photo shoot at her Chandler office so the site shows the real room clients walk into. Specialty pages, a wellness workshop page and the blog were each structured around the questions her clients are already asking.
Custom Features
Online scheduling, real photography and a blog clients can learn from

Free consultation scheduling with Calendly
An integrated Calendly scheduler lets clients book a free consultation right on the site, choosing a time that works for them without a phone call or back-and-forth emails.

Custom photo shoot
A scheduled shoot at the Chandler office gives the site real images of the space and the person clients will meet.

Ignite Your Courage therapy blog
Posts on trauma, identity, relationships and nervous system care, written for first-generation therapy seekers and organized so each one supports a specialty page in search.

Branding Suite
Therapist branding rooted in culture
The branding suite included a primary logo, a secondary round logo, a color palette, typography, a custom icon set and a brand board that brings it all together for future marketing.
The palette draws from the warmth of an ember and the glow of a lit diya. Ember amber, flame, golden ember and burnt rust carry that heat, grounded by midnight navy and deep forest, rich tones that feel familiar to South Asian and other BIPOC women. The typography pairs an elegant serif with a clean sans serif, so the brand feels connected to tradition while staying easy to read on any screen.
