SEO Services for small businesses

Show up for the services your customers search

A good-looking website isn't much help if nobody can find it. SEO starts with understanding what people are searching for, what your website is already showing up for, and where there's room to do better. From a few overdue fixes to new pages and ongoing search work, you can get help with exactly what your site needs.

Common SEO Gaps

Why a solid website can still go months without search traffic

One page trying to do everything

You offer six different services, but Google has one page to figure them all out. Giving important services their own pages gives each one a better chance of being found.

Content written without the research

The words you use to describe your work aren't always the ones customers search. Keyword research helps close that gap before another page gets written.

Good pages sitting on page two

Some pages are closer than you think. They're already appearing for relevant searches, but their titles, content or missing details may need another look.

A Google Business Profile that's barely filled out

A business name, phone number and a few photos aren't the whole picture. Your services, categories and business information should match what customers find on your website.

No idea what Google sees

If Search Console isn't set up or nobody checks it, you're missing useful information about which searches bring people to your site and which pages need attention.

Booked alone or together

SEO services you can book on their own

Keyword research

Find out what customers are searching for before deciding what to write. Existing search data, competing pages and the services you want more work from all help shape the keyword plan.

Competitive research

There's a reason certain businesses keep showing up above you. We'll look at their pages, the topics they cover and where your website has an opportunity to offer something better.

Content writing

New service and location pages, or a much-needed rewrite of the ones you've had for years. Written for the people hiring you, with the research behind what they search.

Blog creation and writing

Those questions customers ask before booking? They're good subjects for a blog. Get researched, useful articles that answer them, plus the WordPress blog setup if you need it.

On-page SEO updates

The details that are easy to overlook add up. Page titles, descriptions, headings, schema, image alt text and internal links get reviewed and corrected where needed.

Google Business Profile optimization

Give your profile the same attention as your website. Services, categories, descriptions, photos and service areas are reviewed so customers find accurate information in both places.

Search Console setup

Find out which searches already bring up your website, whether Google is indexing your pages and what changes over time. Setup, verification and sitemap submission are handled.

Local SEO

Serving several cities doesn't mean your website needs to repeat the same page twenty times. Build out the locations that matter with useful, locally relevant content.

Free Mini SEO Audit

What is your website missing?

Sometimes it's the little things that get missed. A page without a proper title. Images with no alt text. A form that's hard to find. I'll manually review up to four core pages and send you a summary of what's in place, what's missing and what I'd address first.

  • Page titles and descriptions
  • Keyword targeting
  • Schema markup
  • Image alt text
  • Internal and external links
  • Social media links
  • Calls to action
  • Forms and conversion opportunities

Includes a manual review of up to four existing core pages, selected by Sprout Marketing & Design. Limited to one free mini audit per website URL. No login access is required. This is a review of basic SEO and conversion elements, not a comprehensive technical audit, keyword research project or implementation service.

Blog Writing & Setup

Your customers have questions. Your blog can answer them.

Think about the questions you answer over and over. How much does something cost? What's involved? How do they know which service is right for them? Chances are, people are looking for those answers on Google before they ever contact a business.

That's where useful blog content comes in. Each article starts with research, answers a specific question and connects readers to the services that make sense for them. The writing, SEO details, internal links and publishing are all handled together.

Don't have a blog yet? Your WordPress blog page, post layout and categories can be set up too. One-time projects and ongoing content are both available.

SEO Packages

Some websites need a tune-up. Others need ongoing attention.

SEO Tune-Up

Your website is already built, but the SEO side of things has been neglected. Maybe your pages never got proper metadata. Maybe the content needs work, or nobody has looked at the internal links since launch.

A tune-up takes care of the on-page details that are missing, outdated or not doing your website any favors.

  • Meta titles and descriptions
  • Headings and content improvements
  • Relevant keyword targeting
  • Internal links
  • Image alt text
  • Relevant schema markup
  • Basic indexing review
  • Review of calls to action and booking opportunities

Ongoing SEO

A website isn't finished with search just because its pages have been optimized once. New opportunities come up, services change, competitors add content and Search Console starts showing you things you couldn't see at launch.

Choose a monthly or quarterly schedule based on how much work your site needs and how often you want it handled.

  • Search Console performance reviews
  • Keyword and competitor research
  • On-page SEO improvements
  • Indexing and technical SEO checks
  • Updates to existing content
  • New service pages, location pages or blog posts within the agreed scope
  • Google Business Profile review and updates as needed
  • Written summary of completed work and next priorities

Monthly SEO

$600/mo

Starting at

Quarterly SEO

$650

Starting per quarter

All ongoing plans begin with a separate, one-time SEO setup and research fee, quoted after reviewing your website. New pages and blog posts are included according to the deliverables agreed upon for each plan, not on an unlimited basis. Additional work is quoted separately. SEO services do not include link-building campaigns, paid advertising, social media management, website maintenance or guaranteed rankings.

Website Design & SEO

Better SEO often starts with a better website.

Sometimes the research points to a missing page. Other times, an existing page needs more than a new title and a few keywords. It needs better content, a different layout or a clearer way for someone to take the next step.

That work doesn't have to pass between an SEO specialist, a copywriter and a web designer. The research, writing, design and publishing can all happen in one place, without losing the reason the page needed changing in the first place.

When SEO work fits and when the website needs work first

Not every website needs to be rebuilt to improve its SEO. If your site works well, explains your services and gives people an easy way to reach you, there's plenty that can be done with the pages you already have.

But there's a point where adding more SEO work to a website that isn't working becomes a poor use of your budget. If the pages are difficult to edit, the design is holding you back or there's no room for the content your business needs, a rebuild may be the smarter place to start.

Websites built by Sprout Marketing & Design already include foundational on-page SEO, Search Console setup and the technical basics, so future SEO work can build on what's there.

Questions to ask before starting SEO work

How is SEO services pricing set?

Pricing depends on the size of your website and the work involved. One-time SEO tune-ups start at $250 and are priced per site. Monthly SEO starts at $600, and quarterly SEO starts at $650. Ongoing plans also have a separate one-time setup fee covering initial research and planning. Every scope and price is agreed upon before work begins.

Are new pages included in monthly and quarterly SEO plans?

Yes. New service pages, location pages and blog posts can be included in either plan. The type and number of new pages are set out in your approved scope, based on your website's needs and the plan investment. Additional pages beyond that scope are quoted separately.

Do I have to sign up for ongoing SEO?

No. You can book a single service, an SEO tune-up or a one-time content project. Monthly and quarterly plans are available if you want ongoing support.

Can I get local SEO without a new website?

Yes, provided your current website is suitable for the work. If a redesign would be a better use of your budget, that recommendation is made before quoting SEO services. If you do need a new site but aren't looking for a completely custom build, you can also explore done-for-you WordPress templates.

How long does SEO take to show results?

Search changes can take weeks or months to become visible, depending on competition, indexing and the website's starting point. Rankings and traffic are not guaranteed.

What's included in the free mini SEO audit?

A manual check of up to four existing core pages, selected by Sprout Marketing & Design. The review covers basic SEO and conversion elements, including metadata, keywords, schema, image alt text, links, social links, calls to action and forms. You'll receive a short summary of what may need attention. Each website is eligible for one free audit, and no login access is required.

Can I do some of the SEO work myself?

Yes. You can book help with individual tasks rather than committing to a full plan. For an introduction to tracking how your website performs, read What Is Google Search Console?

Can I update my branding while improving my SEO?

Yes. Website content and search improvements can be planned alongside logo design and branding. The branding work is quoted separately from SEO services.
