Website Design for Contractors
Website design for contractors who are one of three bids.
Homeowners don't hire the first contractor they find. They get three bids, sit at the kitchen table and look up all three. The one with real project photos, a license number they can check and reviews that mention showing up on time is usually the one that gets the call back.

Contractor Website Design
Homeowners describe the problem before they know the trade.
A ceiling stain after a storm, a kitchen stuck in 1998, a garage they want turned into a room for Mom. Contractor website design that starts with how they describe the job is the one that gets the estimate request.
- kitchen layout doesn't work for us anymore, needs kitchen remodel
- want to add a bedroom over the garage, needs home addition
- water stain on ceiling after rain, needs leak and drywall repair
- bought land want to build a house, needs custom home build

General Contractor Website
A custom home builder with a strong portfolio needs a different site than a company with three divisions.
A custom home builder or contractor with a few services and a solid gallery fits the template just fine. When the site needs more than the template holds, like multiple divisions, new home communities or a site that already ranks, it's time for a custom plan.

A quick-launch site that's already designed. I restyle it to your brand, write the copy and launch it. All you do is fill out the intake form and supply the images.

Every page planned around your services, projects, service area and how estimates get requested.

Website Design for Home Builders
Homeowners check up on you before they call back.
A remodel is often the biggest check a homeowner writes after the house itself. Before they sign, they look up your license, read your reviews and study your photos to see if the work is really yours. Everything they're checking gets put where they'll find it, and the final wording is always yours to approve.
-
License and insurance where they'll look
Your license number on every page, linked to your state's lookup where there is one.
-
Photos from your own jobs
Real kitchens and framing shots beat stock photos, even if they were taken on your phone.
-
What happens when plans change
How you handle change orders and delays, written down before anyone needs it.
Optional Add-Ons
Other things contractors usually ask about.

SEO and more content
More service pages, town pages, blog posts or someone keeping an eye on search after launch.

Is contractor web design different for custom home builders?
It is. A remodeler's site sells the next job, so it leans on before and afters and the estimate request. Website design for home builders sells the build itself. A custom home builder website lets homeowners walk through finished homes room by room, see how you work from their plans or yours, follow how a build runs from lot to keys and get a sense of the starting price. If you do both, each gets its own pages.
Should my license number be on the website?
Yes. Many states require your license number on advertising, and your website counts. Homeowners look it up anyway. It goes on every page, and where your state has a public lookup, it can link straight to your record.
Can the site screen out jobs that are too small?
Yes. The estimate form can ask for project type, budget range and timeline before anything gets sent, and a line about your minimum job size sets expectations. You still see every request. You just stop driving across town to bid a $400 repair.
Do you do remodeling website design or only home builder websites?
Both. Remodeling website design leans on before and afters and room-by-room services, and home builder website design leans on the build process and finished homes. The layout shifts toward whichever work you want more of.
Can you redesign my site without losing the pages that rank?
Yes. Every old URL gets mapped and redirected before launch, and pages that bring in traffic stay put or move on purpose. Nobody can promise rankings won't shift, but nothing gets dropped by accident.
What do you need from me?
Your logo, project photos and intake form completed. The intake form takes most clients 1-2 hours because the questions run deep. Not just why you got into building, but how you learned to price a job without leaving money on the table and how you spot a problem behind a wall before it blows the budget. The projects you love to take on vs the clients you'd rather pass on. How you talk a homeowner through a change order halfway through their remodel. It's critical you write this and not hand off to AI. This is where I capture your voice and essence and translate that into a webpage.
Can the site help me hire crews and subs?
Yes. A careers or trade partner page can list the roles you're hiring for and collect applications or subcontractor details, so you're not reposting the same ad every spring. It can be added to the template or built into a custom site.
Can the site have a blog?
Yes. I can set up the blog and write the posts, or set it up so you can write your own. Posts I write get keyword research before they go live, the same as any new page.
Can I add service pages later?
Yes. When you start offering something new, like deck builds or basement finishes, or start taking jobs in another town, I research how homeowners search for it, write the page and link it into the rest of the site. New pages are quoted separately.
