Website Design for Tutors
Website design for tutors hired by the parent and judged by the kid.
Most tutoring searches start the night a report card comes home or a practice test score lands lower than anyone hoped. The parent is the one searching. They want to know what subjects you cover, if you've helped kids like theirs, what an hour costs and how their kid will feel about sitting through a session with you.

Tutoring Website Design
Parents search for the class that's slipping.
A D in chemistry, an ACT score two points short of the scholarship, a second grader who still guesses at words. Tutoring website design that matches how parents describe the problem gets the inquiry before the learning center chain down the road does.
- son failing algebra 1 need help, needs math tutoring
- act prep to raise score 3 points, needs ACT test prep
- 2nd grader struggling to read, needs reading tutoring
- help writing college essays, needs college essay coaching
Subjects and grade levels
Every subject you teach, sorted so parents find theirs fast.
In person or online
Your space, their kitchen table, the library or a video call.
Rates and packages
Hourly, packages or a semester plan, with a starting price.
Who's doing the teaching
Your background, credentials and how you work with kids.
Tutor Website
One tutor with a few students needs a different site than a center with a dozen tutors.
An independent tutor with a handful of subjects fits the tutoring template just fine. When the site needs more than the template holds, like more tutors, test prep programs, a learning center or a site that already ranks, it's time for a custom plan.

Tutoring Business Website Design
Parents are trusting you with their kid.
Before a parent books, they want to know who will be sitting next to their child and what that person knows. Background checks, teaching credentials and a clear policy on where sessions happen answer the questions a parent may not ask out loud.
-
Credentials and background checks
Teaching licenses, degrees and a current background check, listed where parents look first.
-
How progress gets reported
Session notes, parent check-ins and how you measure improvement over a semester.
-
Test prep without score promises
What a typical prep plan covers, with no guaranteed point increase.
Optional Add-Ons
Other things tutors usually ask about.

SEO and more content
More subject pages, local pages, blog posts or someone keeping an eye on search after launch.

Questions tutors ask before signing.
Do you do test prep website design?
Yes. Test prep website design leans on the test itself, with pages for the SAT, ACT, LSAT or whatever you prep for, plus your format, practice test schedule and how many sessions a typical plan runs. Students and parents search by test name, so each test you cover gets its own page.
Should I list my hourly rate?
Usually, yes. Parents compare tutors on price, and a listed rate keeps you from spending evenings on calls with families expecting $20 an hour. If you sell packages or semester plans, show the per-session cost so it's easy to compare.
Can the site work for an online tutoring service?
Yes. A website for an online tutoring service explains the platform you use, the time zones you cover and how a first session works over video. Since you're not tied to one area, subject and test pages do more of the work than local pages.
Is website design for private tutors different from a learning center site?
Yes. A private tutor's site sells you, so it leans on your background, your subjects and how you work one on one. A learning center site leans on programs, schedules and a team of tutors, with a page for each so parents can compare.
Can you redesign my site without losing the pages that rank?
Yes. Every old URL gets mapped and redirected before launch, and pages that bring in traffic stay put or move on purpose. Nobody can promise rankings won't shift, but nothing gets dropped by accident.
What do you need from me?
Your logo, a photo of you and intake form completed. The intake form takes most clients 1-2 hours because the questions run deep. Not just why you got into tutoring, but how you learned to find the exact spot a student got lost and how you get a kid who hates math to show up for a second session. The students you love to work with vs the situations you'd rather pass on. How you talk a stressed parent through a semester that started badly. It's critical you write this and not hand off to AI. This is where I capture your voice and essence and translate that into a webpage.
Can parents book and pay online?
Yes. Parents can book an assessment or first session online and pay for packages up front, and TutorBird, Teachworks or Calendly can send the reminders. Recurring weekly slots can be set up so families keep the same time all semester.
Can the site have a blog?
Yes. I can set up the blog and write the posts, or set it up so you can write your own. Posts I write get keyword research before they go live, the same as any new page.
Can I add subjects later?
Yes. Start tutoring chemistry, launch an SAT program or bring on a second tutor, and that's a new page. I research how parents search for it, write it and link it in from the pages you already have. New pages are quoted separately.
